I have been many things in life; an orthopaedic surgeon, industrialist, scientist, inventor, artist, adventurer, sharpshooter, and magician. Prior to 2002, I was a tertiary referral orthopod, specialising in joint replacements. For the last seven years, I am incarcerated in Puzhal Prison on the outskirts of Chennai, serving imprisonment in an internet pornography case.I have been convicted by the lower court, but am innocent and expect an honourable acquittal on appeal.

Prison life found me with too much time in my hands, and so I turned to writing. I have written 106 books, and am still writing. I started writing about eight years ago, when I was imprisoned under Information Technology Act for running an Adult content web site. All my first drafts have been written in long hand, and I have been able to put in consistent 90 hour workdays a week during the past eight years.

I have written twenty million words in the past eight years. My books include Mahabharatha in four volumes, Ramayana in eight; and numerous other fiction and non fiction books. In fiction; I have written crime thrillers, adventure blockbusters, murder mysteries, legal thrillers, graphic novels, science fiction, and mythological stories. I have also written fifteen short story collections and nine non fiction and self help books. For the first six years of my writing, I did not submit any for publication. I started submitting in 2008 and till date six books have been published, and another six are scheduled to be released by the middle of 2010.

I am an avid reader and also dabble in arts. I have done a thousand water colours for Ramayana and written three graphic novels, one of which has been published in Tamil.

Outlook Magazine has called me India’s most Prolific Author. FHM magazine while reviewing my adventure thriller Maybach Maiden; has called me “The best Pulp fiction author from India in the last decade”. My Mahabharatha has been extremely favourably reviewed by many periodicals including Week.

Apart from English, my books have also been translated into Tamil, and five of them including a graphic novel have been published by G.A. Publications Chennai.

Honourable Madras High Court has kindly permitted me to use the computer facilities in the prison to write, edit and polish my books. However I don’t have a net access in the prison. My assistants outside download my mails, take dictations and post the replies.
